Could it be something to do with the battery or a fuse somewhere but we're not sure it has a fuse board? ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY…. There were also switches for pump, lights and auxilliary - we tried them in both positions but no joy. That goes for joining cables as well, don’t join them in the gas locker.
If it detects a difference or it detects that some of the incoming current is “leaking” to the earth connection, it then switches off the supply. I'm not sure of the regulations in Australia regarding electrical installations in caravans but I think it has to be done by a qualified person. My wife and daughter always take their straighteners and hair dryer with them whenever we go (not forgetting the kitchen sink). Can anyone tell me if my caravan has mains electric and if so how to link it up? Study the route of any new cables - is it possible to get the cables where you want them? There is no leisure battery at the moment but the owner assured me that it works on hook up to the mains independent of the battery. Any advice would be welcome as I have this car for 4 years..
I noticed he only had about 5 kg of gas for 6 weeks so he would have been really stuck! I don't know why this has happened bcause it was working fine in the morning.The most likely cause to the problem is a faulty fuse. The power supply/charger will still charge the leisure battery but the 12 volt power for lights etc comes from the vehicle. Thanks, LouI should imagine that the lights and pump are operated via your 12v system.
