If it is not then that needs to be replaced first. Stay logged in Search titles only Posted by Member: Separate names with a comma. Are all the fans controlled from the same sensor, or the CPU with the CPU temp and the case fans with the chipset? The fans started running at high RPM shortly after I updated my Asus motherboard BIOS.

This is one of the better accomplishments of fan-control with several ASUS boards.Click to expand... First, please be aware this motherboard supports Q-fan in PWM mode only. ASUS Q Fan control isn't for the CPU header only. Speedfan Smart Guardian made in the last couple of years.

Now apparently, there've been revisions in SpeedFan. Speedfan Not Responding You can either set fan settings by RPM or using "smart" pulse width modulation (PWM) settings - known as "smart fan" or "cool and quiet" or "q-fan". The good board has double CPU-fan ports ("OPT"), and two or three (need to look when I have the time) -- CHA ports with one PWR port. I remember the first "real" project used an Intel Tucson motherboard for a last-generation Pentium.
I can't promise I'll respond to all the messages I receive (depending on the volume), but I'll do my best. don't see anything like that EnderW, Jun 18, 2009 EnderW, Jun 18, 2009 #5 Jun 18, 2009 #6 MrF Gawd Messages: 707 Joined: Feb 18, 2009 What is the model Speedfan Not Changing Fan Speed I'm scratching my head at this point. if you really want speedfan you have to turn it off, but you can also make a nice temp speed curve in the bios. #3 Flapdrol1337, Dec 4, 2014 soccerballtux That's why I suggested simply changing the header, since it's all the same result anyway. Running the cooler at full load won't hurt anything. Full Review Intel Core i7-4771 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1150 Quad-Core Desktop... What Is Smart Guardian

Man! Speedfan Not Working Windows 10 We used to put these big "long-horn" handlebars on the bikes. While my friend was really happy with manual fan adjustments of his fan-legion with a front-panel Rheobus or whatever it was called, I could see that you would want thermal fan-control.
Maybe I was confused about the technical details. This FAQ is not specific enough. It's strange, he said the same thing about the Sanyo Denki's might not be compatible, but it's as I told him, a 3-pin fan is a 3-pin fan; a red, black Speedfan Not Showing Fans There's also a control for the chassis fans.
But if you think about it, there might be advantages to using the proprietary software that came with the motherboard and model. See manual 2-32 for more details.Lastly, if Q-fan still does not function properly, please update BIOS to version 0802 or later. Here is the BIOS download link:http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socketAM2/M3A78-EMH_HDMI/M3A78-EMH-HDMI-0802.zip Does this document solve your I've worked firsthand with two ASUS boards released after May 2011 -- the latest being one of those cheap "end-of-life-cycle" spinoffs. this contact form Some MB manuals will mention if there is a current limt on the fan headers.
I just don't have to have every fan in my system with its own profile. I mean frikkin... bad software for sure for 3 pin fans you get 1 channel-- all fans spin the same speed now that I've got speedfan set up, this is definitely better than what I had a 4pin fan plugged into the CPU header, but the fan I finally ended up using on my CPU cooler was only a 3pin.
Join us to comment and to customize your site experience! If you don't want to install AI Suite, this almost meets expectations for thermal fan control without any adjustment outside of the BIOS. I have the options enabled in bios, but the fan runs at 100% all the time. So 6v would be 50% speed. #17 soccerballtux, Dec 16, 2014 Puffnstuff Diamond Member Joined: Mar 9, 2005 Messages: 5,938 Likes Received: 880 On my asus board qfan ran from
Got a Computer Question or Problem? I'm not an expert on fans, but I would think the Arctic Cooling would be a decent fan for this. My own extravagance arose with purchase of a front-panel fan controller with thermal sensor wires. You could also get your standard 10 or 15-speed derailleur racing bike.
Any suggestions? While the newer Pentiums and i3's will outpace the Athlons in single-core performance, they also only come in 2c/2t... Full Review Acer XR341CK - LED monitor - 34" - By NETCNA Reviewed by SystemTech Hi guys, I received my ACER XR341CK today and want to share my first impressions You first have to let the system test each individual fan in order for it to determine the fan range, so I wonder if you are skipping this part.
Then I would proceed to complicate things. We used to put these big "long-horn" handlebars on the bikes. Someone will hopefully fix that soonish.
